What's Happening?
Hey hey
just a quick note to say hi. I've been blogging on the Amalgamation for seven months now. It's interesting to come back to my Blogger A Humble Art Folio. It is a friendly crowd at Blogger.
However, it has been fun trying out a new (if not often bad-tempered!) audience at Wordpress.
In just over 7 months at the Amalgamation I have had:
13,112 hits
including over 300o hits in September 2008. wow!
Hope you can visit sometime.
Some of my art is also up for sale as greeting cards a t-shirts at RedBubble.Com. Please drop by there sometime too!

Moving House...
Hi, everyone!
Just want to let you know, after much thought and rumination and all that, I have decided to move this blog. It'll now be amalgamated with my other blogs. It's becoming rather exhausting trying to keep up with maintaining the blogs, especially after recently battling a mystery illness.
I want to thank you all for your regular support, and I hope that you'll visit me at my new blog, "The Amalgamation" - you can probably guess where its name came from.

There may be a little overlap, especially to begin with, but I sure hope you'll drop by sometime!

195. Another Arabian-Inspired Horse
Armed with an Arabian Horse Society's magazine, a pack of watercolour pencils, and a brand new watercolour sketchpad, I embarked on drawing a number of Arabian Horse-inspired sketches. I needed to do something while I was sweating away the ridiculously hot New Year's that we had in this part of the nation. I mean, it was way too hot. We don't have air conditioning so we paid a lot of visits to the in-laws - what with their swimming pool, air conditioning and other luxuries - like curtains...

194. Acrocanthosaurus atokensis

Acrocanthosaurus was an Allosauroid dinosaur characterised by prominent spines along the back. This carnivore was discovered in North America and is considered to belong to either the Allosauridae or Carcharodontosauridae. The allosaurids include the genus Allosaurus; the carcharodontosaurids include Giganotosaurus.
Like all allosaurs, Acrocathosaurus is classed as a theropod carnosaur: a large, bipedal meat-eating dinosaur with a lizard-like hip structure. The only named species is A. atokensis. This dinosaur measured about 12 metres from head to tail-tip, and probably weighed about 2.4 tonnes (metric).
I drew this sketch using felt-tip markers, based on reconstructions of this amazing creature.

192. Christmas From The Past

Based on my childhood memories of Christmas in rural Australia. I drew this a few years ago, but found it recently in my old sketchbook.

191. Don't Walk

Where exactly do you go when all the lights are red?! Taken near midnight somewhere in Melbourne on New Years Eve. A good time to drive - there's no traffic on the road! And no green lights, from the looks of it!
