Armed with an Arabian Horse Society's magazine, a pack of watercolour pencils, and a brand new watercolour sketchpad, I embarked on drawing a number of Arabian Horse-inspired sketches. I needed to do something while I was sweating away the ridiculously hot New Year's that we had in this part of the nation. I mean, it was way too hot. We don't have air conditioning so we paid a lot of visits to the in-laws - what with their swimming pool, air conditioning and other luxuries - like curtains...

195. Another Arabian-Inspired Horse

I laughed when I read your description of the weather! Is the oppressive heat the reason it looks like the horse is in such a cool environment surrounded by blue?
